Meet Erik & James!
Erik is my hubby, my rock, and my motivator. His role with Hilltop Photography is as the supporting photographer and my main hype man! He is gifted with the ability to effortlessly make conversation with people and also connects incredibly well with children. You'll likely see Erik at our larger events or at family portrait sessions to ge
Erik is my hubby, my rock, and my motivator. His role with Hilltop Photography is as the supporting photographer and my main hype man! He is gifted with the ability to effortlessly make conversation with people and also connects incredibly well with children. You'll likely see Erik at our larger events or at family portrait sessions to get all those sweet giggles from the kiddos.
James is our precious little fella. He takes after his daddy and is always making others smile and laugh. He loves having his photo taken and has become the official Hilltop Photography muse. He loves animals, throwing frisbees, peaches, and dancing to some sweet tunes!

My Approach
My approach is uniquely tailored to you.
Comfortability is key, and I understand that not everyone feels confident or even comfortable in front of the lens. Not to worry, I make our sessions relaxed, lighthearted, and most importantly FUN! My goal is to create not only beautiful images, but an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Genuine emotions translate in photography. I use gentle direction to provide guidance on posing and focal direction during my sessions. Through a combination of posed and candid shots, Hilltop clients are provided the full spectrum in their sessions to produce a variety of images to choose from in your final gallery.
My "Style" of Photography
My default is BRIGHT, CRISP, and COLORFUL. But, if that isn't quite your style, I am also drawn to the WARM, EARTHY TONES. Hilltop clients have flexibility to select which style they prefer in advance.
As a natural light photographer, my first photographic priority is capturing clean and beautiful light. This emphasizes the subject's natural features while maintaining true to life color and an element of “pop” in your images. During post processing, images are thoughtfully retouched while staying true to color.
I guide clients through a system of poses and prompts to get you relaxed and having fun! It should be an exciting experience for you to enjoy and look darn good doing it!
